Taxonomic remark Authority attributed to "Pascher non Lagerheim, 1890" in BioLib.cz, however Pascher apparently treated Lagerheim's genus and erected 2 subgenera. Includes some species now assigned to Algae (H. viride Scherfell 1926 is a syn. of Hydrianum viride in Chlorophyceae according to Hindák & Hindáková, 2008). Assigned to Xanthophyceae (Characiopsidaceae) in Algaebase, reason unclear. [details]
