Taxonomic remark Srivastava, 1981 treated this genus as valid, but later (Srivastava & Braman, 2013) listed the type species, K. trispissatus Anderson, 1960 in the synonymy of Aquilapollenites minutus Srivastava 1966 (reason unclear since K. trispissatus is the earlier name). However recent work e.g. Li et al., 2011 and later authors consider Kurtzipites to be a currently accepted genus. [details]
