Taxonomic remark Listed as validly published in Nomenclator Zoologicus, however a nomen nudum according to Köhler & Bouchet, 2020. Originally intended as a subgenus of Bothriembryon. From Köhler & Bouchet: Iredale (1939: 16) fixed a type species, but provided no description for Dialembryon. Hence, this name is unavailable (Code, Art. 13.1). It was subsequently not made available by Breure (1979: 91) or Smith (1992: 101), who listed the name as a synonym of Bothriembryon along with the type species, but without a description. [details]
