Taxonomic remark From Philippe & Bamford, 2008: a junior taxonomical synonym of Brachyoxylon Hollick et Jeffrey (Philippe, 2002). The name is not validly published by Holden (1913) as two species are included with neither a diagnosis nor a type designation. First valid publication is in Torrey (1923: 84). Thus Paracupressinoxylon cannot be considered as the correct name for Protocupressinoxylon, of which it is also a taxonomical synonym. [details]
