Taxonomic remark Van de Schootbrugge et al., 2013 describe this genus as a "problematic, small and sphaerical, organic-walled microfossil" either a putative prasinophyte or the remains of pollen of unknown botanical affinity, although later in the same work include them with other prasinophytes. Zhang et al., 2021, list under spores and pollen, while Correia et al., 2017 and other sources (presently followed in IRMNG) list as a [marine] prasinophyte. [details]
