Taxonomic remark Cyclolithella is correct in zoological nomenclature because of Cyclolithus Koenig 1825 (Coelenterata). (Index Nominum Genericorum). n.n. pro Cyclolithus Kamptner 1948 and Deflandre 1952 non Koenig 1825 (Nomen. Zool.). A homotypic synonym of Cyclolithus Kamptner ex Deflandre 1952 according to Index Nominum Genericorum. Although calcareous nannofossils are generally treated under botanical nomenclature, the use of Cyclolithella in this instance seems to have been adopted by most workers. [details]
