Taxonomic remark From Mikhailov, 1997: These rather small and thin-shelled eggs with ornithoid eggshell structure were proposed to belong either to birds or small theropod dinosaurs (Mikhailov 1991). Recently, one of the specimens of laevisoolithid eggshells was found in situ with an associated partial skeleton of an enantiornithid bird Nanantius (Kurochkin 1996). This allows general taxonomic assignment of laevisoolithid remains to Enantiornithes (Mikhailov 1996a). [details]
