Taxonomic remark From Index Fungorum: Initially published as Vuilleminiaceae Maire, Bull. Soc. Mycol. France 18(Suppl.): 80 (1902), nom. inval. For Vuilleminiaceae Höhn., Öst. bot. Z. 54(12): 427 (1904): Nom. rej., but see Arts 14.6, Ex. 5 and 14.7. [Rejected against the later name Corticiaceae (1910), however can be maintained if the two families are not treated as synonyms.] Hyde et al., 2024 gives authorship as Maire ex Lotsy [1907], but that usage post-dates that of von Höhnel as given in Index Fungorum and MycoBank. [details]
