Taxonomic remark Original without included species; Gill 1861, as Conorhynchus, provided a type (see Whitehead 1986). Whitehead regards Conorynchus Nozemann as the senior synonym of Albula but to be rejected as a forgotten name (nomen oblitum). Possibly can date to Gill 1861. (Eschmeyer). Family given as Pimelodidae in WoRMS (Mar 2013), Albulidae in Eschmeyer. [details]
