McKenna & Bell, 1997 place Microhyus (as an accepted name) in Hypsondontidae, however The Paleobiology DB (2022 version) allocates this genus (plus its replacement name, Teilhardimys Kretzoi & Kretzoi, 2000) only to Perissodactyla, citing L. N. Cooper et al. 2014. [details]
