Taxonomic remark Family Rhysodidae is currently accepted in many treatments including those of Slipinski, Leschen & Lawrence in Zhang (ed)., 2011, also in Ruggiero et al. 2014, also the 2016 version of ITIS, but not in others e.g. W. Lorenz' CarabCat database which is utilised in the present (2016) Catalogue of Life, where it is included in Carabidae. It is maintained as distinct in IRMNG at this time until a consensus is reached amongst relevant experts. [details]
