Taxonomic remark Mandatory correction of Gonostomatidae Small & Lynn, 1985, latter has incorrect orthography being based on Gonostomum Sterki, 1878 (although Berger, 2011 and others do currently use Gonostomatidae as a valid name in Ciliophora). Not Gonostomatidae (originally subfamily Gonostomini, sometimes cited as Gonostomidae) Cocco, 1838, an accepted fish family, where Gonostomatidae represents the correct orthography, refer Van Der Laan et al., 2014.
