Taxonomic remark Class Chlorophyceae of older systems (e.g. Parker) is now approximately equivalent to subphylum Chlorophytina of Ruggiero et al., 2015, with relevant orders now split across multiple classes i.e. Chlorodendrophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Pedinophyceae, Trebouxiophyceae and Ulvophyceae, also including Conjugatophyceae and Klebsormidiophyceae (both now in Charophyta).
