Taxonomic remark Achladaeus and the two original included species-group names, A. chilensis Herrich-Schäffer and A. radiatus Herrich-Schäffer, are nomina nuda according to Pitkin & Jenkins. The remaining species listed under this genus are all database artifacts in LepIndex according to J. Grehan, pers. comm. August 2016, and instead should be associated with the genus Aenetus. They are retained here as unaccepted names since they have been widely disseminated in electronic form via the Catalogue of Life and other means. [details]
