Taxonomic remark According to Kirejtshuk (2020), the type specimen of U. splendens (the type species) is "in a very bad condition to make a reliable comparison with the other tshekardocoleids", but can be attributed to Coleoptera. The second species, "U." ultimus, is based on an isolated elytron that "cannot be proved to be a beetle and not a cockroach". [details]
