Nomenclatural status orthographia [details]
Taxonomic remark Orthographic variant. See Trevia Linnaeus 1753. (Index Nominum Genericorum). Original spelling = "Trevia", thus, because of Vienna ICBN Art. 13.4, preservation of this spelling requires a conservation proposal, as does its synonymy under Mallotus, over which it has priority (GRIN). Listed as probable synonym of Mallotus in GRIN, however type species T. nudiflora is accepted in The Plant List (2010). [details]
