Original name Thaumatonema Lauterborn, 1896 is valid in zoology although Thaumatomastix in general use (e.g. in Lee et al., 2000). Treated as a Raphidophyte in AlgaeBase (2021 version), apparently in error (Cercozoa according to other sources). [details]
