Taxonomic remark Previously assigned to Bursidae, but outside this family according to Sanders et al., 2021, who state: Though many clues may indicate that Olequahia washingtoniana [=type species of Olequahia ] belongs in Galeodea, some characters do not point in that direction. ... The position of O. washingtoniana in Galeodea, as a genus of Cassidae or even as a new family of Tonnoidea requires further attention. [details]
