original description
(of Lyrosaurus Lehman, 1966 †) Annls Paleont. (Vert.) 52 page(s): 125; note: (Nomen. Zool. lists this genus name twice from the same work, giving p. 125 in one case and 129 in the other) [details]
Unreviewed
Taxonomic remark Selected over Lyrosaurus (synonym) by Maganuco et al., 2014 acting as first revisers: the two taxa appeared in the same work, Lyrosaurus is considered a juvenile form of Mahavisaurus (Mahavisaurus has page priority although this has no significance in zoological nomenclature).
