Descriptive info Middle Eocene; Blake Plateau, E of Florida, Atlantic Ocean. (Index Nominum Genericorum) [details]
Taxonomic remark From Nannotax3: The genus was originally compared with Neogene Triquetrorhabdulus due to the presence of ‘keels' but it is now thought to represent disarticulated rhabdolith spines, hence the genus has been included in the Rhabdosphaeraceae. Bown & Newsam (2017) recombined P. inversus in Blackites, making the genus superfluous. [details]
