Taxonomic remark A homotypic synonym of Dregea Ecklon & Zeyher 1837 (nom. rej.) according to Index Nominum Genericorum. Listed as syn. of Peucedanum L. in Willis, 1973, but a syn. of Notobubon according to Magee et al., 2009 and Plants of the World Online (2017 version). Note in Magee et al., 2009: "Dregea Eckl. & Zeyh. was renamed by Endlicher as Sciothamnus but this name is now considered illegitimate as it was published long before the conservation of Dregea E.Mey. (Burtt 1991).". [details]
