Taxonomic remark Originally proposed as an order containing only the family Protocoleidae, now considered a member of Protelytroptera after Kukalová (1966) and Carpenter (1992). Separately, the same name has been used as an extinct suborder of Coleoptera, e.g. Bouchard et al. (2011). [details]
