Taxonomic remark Doweld, 2014 states that Megalaevigati is a "forgotten and illegitimate" name and should be rejected in favour of the (also illegitimate but in current use) Aphanozonatisporites, however that proposal was rejected as premature by the Nomenclature Committee on Fossils (Herendeen, 2016). [details]
