Taxonomic remark The status of this family is uncertain, and neither it nor its constituent genera are recognised in Prokaryotic Nomenclature as at 2019. It is recognised by Hanert (2013), however Dubinina & Zhdanov, 1976 believe that Siderocapsa and related genera actually belong in the genus Arthrobacter, which is in fam. Micrococcaceae. [details]
