Taxonomic remark AlgaeBase (2020) places Woloszynskia with Tovellia in the new family Tovelliaceae, order Tovelliales, however this is incorrect since only species other than the type of Woloszynskia (W. reticulata) have been transferred out of this genus, and the genus Woloszynskia (and containing family) are therefore unaffected by those actions. [details]
