Taxonomic remark Kräusel's original species have mostly been transferred elsewhere, however the genus name is in use among current workers; Zijlstra & Philippe, 2020 propose to retain the genus for ongoing use with a new type, P. dolianitii Mussa, 1958, a proposal that was recommended for acceptance by the Nomenclature Committee for Fossils (Herendeen, 2022).
