Taxonomic remark Listed as Plant? in ING, incertae sedis in Nomen. Zool. As with other similar Rouault genera, described as a fossil plant (alga: fucoid) but probably an animal burrow, however description is poor and there is no illustration, see Pemberton & Pemberton, 2019. Name not preoccupied in botany but a junior homonym (of Vermiculites Bronn, 1848)) in zoology, which is where it would reside if it is a trace fossil. Bronn's name may in fact be a prior publication of Rouault's genus name, refer notes on that taxon. [details]
