Taxonomic remark Komárek et al., 2014 accept the family Tolypothrichaceae Hauer et al., 2014, erected for Tolypothrix and four other genera, to which they add more including Borzinema and Seguenzaea, previously in Borzinemataceae. Since Borzinemataceae Geitler, 1942 has priority over Tolypothrichaceae Hauer et al., 2014, the correct name for this family should probably now be Borzinemataceae (not implemented in AlgaeBase or WoRMS as at Feb 2019). [details]
