Taxonomic remark Normalised from Laevigato-sporites. Doweld, 2016 proposed to conserve the name Laevigatosporites Ibrahim with that spelling against Laevigata-sporites R. Potonié & Gelletich and Laevigati-sporites R. Potonié & Gelletich, however the Nomenclature Committee for Fossils ruled that those names were not confusible and so the proposal was not required (Herendeen, 2017). [details]
