Taxonomic remark Invalid name (jun. homonym, refer ICZN Index). Objectively invalid; preoccupied by Micropus Wolf 1810 in Aves, apparently not replaced. On Official Index (Opinion 502) because of homonymy with Micropus Wolf. (Eschmeyer). Family given as Caracanthidae in WoRMS (Mar 2013), Scorpaenidae in Eschmeyer. [details]
