Taxonomic remark A homotypic synonym of Muscoflorschuetzia M.R. Crosby 1978 according to Index Nominum Genericorum. Junior homonym of Florschuetzia J.H. Germeraad, C.A. Hopping & J. Muller, 1969 (fossil spores/pollen); replacement name is Muscoflorschuetzia M.R. Crosby, 1978, however the taxon is a synonym of Diphyscium D.M.H. Mohr, 1803 according to Ireland et al., 2006.
