Taxonomic remark Substitute name for Sphaerochloris F. Hindák 1988, non P. Dangeard 1966. (Index Nominum Genericorum). Sphaerochloris F. Hindák 1988, was treated by Hindák, 1990 as a junior homonym Sphaerochloris P.J.L. Dangeard, 1966 and replaced by Neosphaerochloris, however Wynn & Furnari, 2014 state that Sphaerochloris Dangeard is invalid and thus Sphaerochloris Hindák does not require to be replaced, a conclusion that possibly requires additional research.
