Taxonomic remark Rhabdolithes was suppressed in zoology (against Rhabdosphaera Haeckel, 1894) by the ICZN in 1967, but not in botany (the same organisms are covered by both Codes). A proposal to reject Rhabdolithes in botany as well was published by Doweld, 2012 and this was recommended for acceptance by the Nomenclature Committee for Fissils (Herendeem, 2017). [details]
