Taxonomic remark The status of this family has fluctuated according to taxonomic opinion. Erected as a family by Wang, 1988, it was reduced to a subfamily of Ctenodactylidae by Wang in Tomida et al., 1994 (refer McKenna & Bell, 1997). Bi et al., 2009 (American Museum novitates, no. 3663) reinstated it as a family, however Oliver et al., 2023 again treat its members as belonging to family Ctenodactylidae. [details]
