(of Cyanocrates Meyrick, 1925) Meyrick. E. (1923-1930). Exotic Microlepidoptera, Vol. 3. Taylor & Francis, London. 723 pp., available online at https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/286269 page(s): 155 [details]
Unreviewed
Taxonomic remark The name Cyanocrates Meyrick, 1925 is sometimes used for this genus, however this is incorrect. From Pitkin & Jenkins, 2020: Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated: Druce attributed Ommatothelxis to Walsingham, an incorrect authorship. Meyrick, 1925, Exot. Microlepid. 3: 155, considered that Ommatothelxis was not an available name. Under the Code (Edn 3), Article 12(a) and (b)(5), Ommatothelxis Druce is an available name as it was cited in combination with an available specific name before 1931. [details]
