Taxonomic remark Wang, Rasnitsyn, Li, Shih, Sharkey & Ren, 2015 (Cladistics. 32(3): 239-260; accepted 9 June 2015) synonymise Praesiricidae with Megalodontesidae, while retaining it as a subfamily (Praesiricinae). Confusingly, in a "2016" (online publication in 2015) paper the same authors i.e. Wang, Rasnitsyn, Shih, Sharkey & Ren, 2015 (Systematic Entomology, 41(1), 41-55, accepted 10 April 2015) continue to use Praesiricidae as an accepted family, without citing their own 2015 work. IRMNG follows the first of these works at the present time on the presumption that the order of appearance of the publications reverses the order in which they were accepted. [details]
