Taxonomic remark n.n. pro Euryodon Xu et al 1979 (Nomen. Zool.). Euryodon Xu et al 1979 is possibly preoccupied by Euryodon Lund, 1838 in fossil Glyptodontidae, however that name is apparently not in use; another name instance, Euryodon Agassiz, 1846, is an emendation of Eureodon F. de Waldheim, 1817 and thus unavailable. Xuodon Kretzoi & Kretzoi, 2000, has not been adopted by recent workers so is treated here as a superfluous replacement name. [details]
