Descriptive info Crustacean "y-larvae", adult forms presumed parasitic but presently unknown. Genetic analysis in 2002 revealed Facetotecta to be the sister group to the remaining Thecostraca (Ascothoracida and Cirripedia). [details]
Taxonomic remark Listed as a subclass in Glenner et al., 2008; WoRMS (2017) presently treats Facetotecta as an infraclass (of subclass Thecostraca). [details]
