Unverified
Taxonomic remark In addition to Nesomyinae Forsyth Major, 1897 (as subfamily of Muridae), McKenna & Bell give "Nesomyidae Weber, 1904" (as syn. of Muridae), although this attribution is presumed to be a chresonym (usage by later authors, not the authority in the nomenclatural sense). Wilson & Reeder, 2005 give authorship as "Major, 1897", however this version of the surname is incorrect per other sources. [details]
