Taxonomic remark Authority given as Tan Sin Hok in many sources, however Tan is surname, Sin and Hok are forenames as per Indonesian practice. A fossil-only family (and order); 1 extant species (D. planktonicus) had been assigned to this otherwise fossil genus, but is in fact a dinoflagellate cyst bearing discoaster-like ornamentation, Scrippsiella regalis (was Rhabdothorax gerenus).
