Taxonomic remark This work as cited (Index Palaeont., 1363, year 1848) not seen, however in a later work (Neues Jahrbuch, Index 1850-1859) Bronn cites Rouault's genus and species (Vermiculites (Rou.), V. panderi) so Bronn (1848) may be listing Rouault's name in advance of its publication (given as 1850, Bull. Soc. Géol. France, (2) 7, 744). Vermiculites Rouault, 1850 is listed as a nomen dubium (inferred) plus a junior homonym of Bronn's published name, in Häntzschel, 1975. [details]
