Taxonomic remark Status of this order is controversial; it is accepted in Walker, 2018, following Benoit et al., 2015, however Buckley, 2013 considers that the sole included genus Plesiorycteropus should instead be assigned to the order Tenrecoidea (tenrecs). [details]
