Taxonomic remark The family name Clathromonadidae is based on Clathromonas Scoble & Cavalier-Smith, 2014 which contains the type species of the earlier established Lepidochromonas Kristiansen, 1980, making Lepidochromonas the valid name for the genus. In botanical nomenclature (presently followed in IRMNG for this group), Kapustin & Guiry, 2019 propose the new name Lepidochromonadaceae for this family. [details]
