Taxonomic remark Allocated to "clade" Rickenellaceae by describers, however that name was incorrect when published because it included Repetobasidium, which is the type of an older family name Repetobasidiaceae, but it is not illegitimate. Based on more thorough phylogenies (Korotkin 2017), Rickenella and its allies, without Repetobasidium, are in a weakly supported family clade, for which this would be an available name if a family name is used; however Index Fungorum (2019 version) presently lists Rickenella in Cantharellaceae.
