Taxonomic remark Listed as accepted in Adrain, 2011 and elsewhere, but appears to be preoccupied by Atopidae Laporte, 1834 (Coleoptera); the latter has historically been replaced by Dascillidae Guérin-Méneville, 1843 on the basis of synonymy of the type genus Atopa Paykull, 1799 with Dascillus Latreille, 1796, but is still an available name, making Atopidae Hupé, 1953 a junior homonym, though apparently unreplaced.
