Taxonomic remark Nomen novum for Umbellula Korde, 1973, non Umbellula Morris, 1955 (Coniochaetales incertae sedis). From Molinari-Novoa & Guiry, 2021: Originally published as a rhodophyte, these dendritic fossils have been reinterpreted as colonial cyanophytes and assigned to the family Epiphytaceae Korde (Vachard 2019). This genus was placed originally within the Cambrinaceae Korde, a superfluous renaming of Sajaniaceae Vologdin (Korde 1973) and thus illegitimate. [details]
