Treated as a distinct family by Vachard & Aretz, 2004 (as Fascielliidae), but as a tribe of Calcifoliaceae by Vachard & Cózar, 2006; later again as a distinct family (as Fascielliidae) by Vachard & Cózar, 2010. [details]
