Taxonomic remark New taxon (genus and species novum) description in Haag et al., 2014, but requirements for availability under the zoological Code not fulfilled until a correction issued as Haag et al., 2015. According to the describers, this genus is an early diverging microsporidian, however it is placed by Wijayawardene et al., 2020, in Rozellomycota incertae sedis (together with Morellospora), per Corsaro et al., 2020, since these genera (together with some uncultured sequences) are arguably closer to Rozella than to other Microsporidia. [details]
