Taxonomic remark From Philippe & Bamford, 2008: besides one species (P. bispirale) another wood is described in the protologue as P. sp., without designation of a type. Since the Sidney Congress in 1981, in cases such as this where a single binomial is validly published, the generic name to which it is attached is considered to be validly published (ICBN art. 42.2).
