Taxonomic remark Authorship as given in Index Nominum Genericorum, however Herendeen, 2015 considers this name (also Subsigillaria) as subgenera of Sigillaria introduced by Weiss (year not stated) and re-used in this sense by Mercenier: "even if we accept that Mercenier was raising these subgenera in rank to genera (and it is far from clear that he was)...". Doweld's (2012) proposal to reject this name in favour of Cyclodendron (based on a synonym assertion by Jongmans, 1936) was therefore deemed unnecessary. [details]
